Interesting facts about me

This one took vows as a Buddhist and started in Buddhist studies and meditation 4 years ago.

Began in Tibetan school, then moved into Theravadin as my interest is to build in meditation practice and to take vipassana training and retreats.

Yoga is the next step forward for me and am Deeply Grateful to my friend and teacher, Karen, for guiding and inspiring me thereto.

Deep bows in the Five Directions and many Blessings to the Community members here.

Mother of 2 young men and one young lady who has a 7 year old boy. My husband, Steve and I are glad to be grandparents and continue to learn from our adult children many lessons about love.

You are the bomb, Bob! Great to hear from you, and I'm glad you are enjoying the asana aspect of yoga now. I had a wonderful day of snorkeling and then seeing "Up", which was really delightful. I'm struggling learning Photoshop, so I will give up now and go to bed. :) Perhaps it will seem all fresh and easier tomorrow. I hope I don't have to wait two years till the next Gathering to see you and Karen, but, if I do, it will be a joyous thing to be with you two again.

All the best, and much love,
    Sri

She has a pair of Bushnell's Extra Wide View permanent focus

    Hi Bob! :)

I never saw your kind comments after the Gathering until just now....duh...I'm a tad slow sometimes! Thanks...it's always nice to read positive feedback. You're a pretty darn fantastic person yourself! :)

Anyway, how are you??? What's happening in the life of Bob this summer? Any exciting trips planned? I've been on mine already - we went to Abaco in the Bahamas and it was wonderful. We will also be hosting several rounds of guests this summer. One way to get me to clean up the house.... !

Have you gotten into a steady yoga practice yet? I know you were talking about being motivated. I've been working hard on alignment poses and exercises lately...I can feel how all my imbalances from being flat-footed have affected my knees and hips over the years. Gotta do what I can, while I can.

I hope you have a wonderful 4th, Mr. Bob. Big love to you and Karen,
    Sri

    Bob
How did you celebrate Fathers' Day?
Did you always live in El Paso? There are pockets of backwards ness everywhere..I first met Swami Satchidananda in Detroit where I received a mantra and initiation..it was lovely..in the midst of the hustle and bustle of a large city..to met the prince of peace..he felt like my spiritual father..the one I always knew..Om Shanti F
